| so, the posting thing didnt happen. ive been having the most amazing summer ever. by the grace of god, ive been enjoying every minute of it, even the places that are so amazing you think you could not possibly enjoy them to their full potential, like a rowboat in a lake in the middle of the alps, i have enjoyed perfectly. maybe that doesnt make sense to you; it does to me.
im in a missing mood. i love it here, and am so so happy to be here, but just right now i miss my friends and family a little. im a pine, what can i say? so if you love me, miss me, or just want to brighten up my day, write a comment, or send an email(smcwhorter@ou.edu) and if you want to get the few email updates i send out, do the same. | | |

Right now a campaign of rape, slaughter and displacement is currently being carried out in the western region of Sudan, the largest country in Africa. Government-supported troops have displaced 2.5 million people in the past two years, hundreds of thousands have died due to attacks, disease and starvation, and it is estimated that 500 men, women and children continue to die every day.

| its spring break! and i saw this while driving around with my windows down the other day. i doesnt get much better than a 70 year old riding his wife (ok, maybe it was his girlfriend) around town on the back of his bike.
